Microphone History:
The R-331 was manufactured by the American Microphone company in Pasadena, California circa 1950. It was part of a family of microphones that included the hybrid ribbon/dynamic DR-330 and DR-332 models. The R331 appeared in Radio Masters Handbook and Stereo Hi-Fi Directory between 1953 and 1962.
This stylish microphone made a brief appearance in the 1985 time travel movie "Back to The Future" (at the end, where Marty sings Johnny B Goode....)
