About LESA - From Italian Wikipedia:

"LESA (Laboratori Elettrotecnici Società Anonima) was an Italian electronics products company active from 1929 to 1972. Founded by the entrepreneur Nello Meoni and the technician Luigi Massaroni as a craft business in 1929, the company began its activity in Corso Italia, in Milan with the company name "Laboratori Elettrotecnici di Luigi Massaroni". In 1930 it became a joint stock company and took on the new name. "Laboratori Elettrotecnici Società Anonima" (LESA)", transferring production to the larger premises in Via Cadore 43, still in Milan.  In 1939 LESA inaugurated the factory in Via Bergamo 21   and the production of potentiometers and small rotating electrical machinery was added to the production of motors and detectors.

In 1950 the definitive trademark was registered, consisting of a block letter with a lightning bolt through it."

This last bit of information dates our 6C4 to the post-1950 era.

Earlier examples were made a different script style logo, which indicates that LESA were already producing ribbon microphones before the 1950 re-branding.

Technical Description:

Our LESA microphone is a beautiful example that is clearly inspired by the RCA 74-B and 44 BX microphones. It is about the same size as a 74 with bright chrome grills and bands around the lower body. The swivel mount utilises a ball joint hidden inside the base of the microphone. The output transformer has two taps which can be selected by changing the wiring inside the microphone, to give a choice of either 600 ohm or 60,000 ohm output impedance.
