This is a modest little microphone that was likely built for speech or PA purposes. The first example pictured was made in 1960 and has a measured output impedance of around 120 ohms at 1 kHz. This early version has a wire mesh grill but later models had a stamped slotted grill. The small size and relatively flat response make them popular with harmonica players.
