Microphone History:

From Craig Leerman at Pro Sound Web...

"Kent was a brand established by Buegeleisen & Jacobson musical instrument distributors, which was based in New York City in the early 1960s. It was known primarily as a guitar brand, with some of the early guitars made by Guyatone and Hagstrom. In addition to guitars and basses, the Kent name was on amplifiers, guitar pickups and a few microphones.

The same microphones were available from several companies and importers, with the difference being only the brand name. (Brands include Phillmore, Aiwa, Calrad and Argonne)

In the United Kingdom, the Kent DM13 and other Kent branded models were imported and sold by Vox, and appear in their 1964 catalogue. The DM13 was probably made by Aiwai and was also sold as the Calrad DM-12
