Microphone History:
The following excerpt discussing the history of Radiohaus Adler is taken from MIKROSAMMLER, a fantastic resource documenting the history of microphones from East Germany:
"Adler was a company in Cunewalde between 1949 and 1977, which started in the 1930s as a pure sales company and later specialised in the production of its own microphones.
Richard Adler (1906–1977), a trained carpenter, talented craftsman, and self-taught electronics expert, opened "Radio~Haus ADLER" in the 1930s as a distributor of products from the Dresden-based company MENDE. Repairs were also carried out in a workshop built specifically for this purpose.
During World War II, Richard Adler was drafted into the army. His wife continued to run the business during this time. After the war, the product range was expanded to include products developed in-house. These included radios (especially tape recorders), amplifiers, and microphones."

Technical Description:
Taken from an Adler advert (available here) and translated to english:
Adler KM 62 Condenser Microphone:
The Adler condenser microphone is a very affordable microphone suitable for recording music and speech, as well as all types of transmissions requiring high quality. It is used where dynamic and crystal microphones no longer meet the necessary requirements. After 20 years of experience in microphone manufacturing, I have succeeded in producing a microphone that is both aesthetically pleasing and of high quality. In addition to its modern design, it features a table stand that can be unscrewed for use with a tripod. The microphone has a 1/2-inch thread for the tripod. It comes with a 5-meter cable permanently attached to the microphone, which connects to the "Microphone" jack on the power supply unit via a diode plug.
The power supply unit is designed for 220 volts AC and includes DC heating for the microphone amplifier. This DC heating ensures low hum reproduction. The microphone's capsule has an ultra-thin diaphragm coated with gold. The capsule is designed so that I can repair it at a very low cost. The microphone's volume is so high that amplifiers can be driven to their full potential without the use of a preamplifier.
Dance orchestras and many dance bands have been successfully using the KM 62 for years.
