Technical Description:

Technical description taken from Shure's 1968 Catalogue:

The Model 300 Studio Gradient is a bidirectional microphone which prov;des sound pickup at the front and rear of the microphone, but greatly reduces pickup at the sides. Can be placed at a much greater distance from the performer than is possible with omnidirectional microphones. Features are a readily accessible Voice-Music switch, a vibration-isolation unit mounted in live rubber, and a multi-impedance switch. The frequency response (production uniformity guaranteed to ± 2112 db), is 40 to 15,000 Hz

Specifications:

  • Frequency Response: 40 to 15,000 Hz.
  • Impedance and Output Level:
    • 30-50 ohms: -60.5 db (0 db = 1 milliwatt per 10 microbars); .043 millivolts/microbar.
    • 150-250 ohms: -59 db (0 d.b = 1 milliwatt per 10 microbars); .105 millivolts/microbar. High -57.5 db (0 db millivolts/microbar.)
