Bruno VD-HF & VD-HP

Bruno were notorious for their unusual and eccentric Velotron models, which used a unique rectangular electrostatic element. To confuse matters, they also made a range conventional ribbon microphones and housed them in similar bodies as the Velotrons. These ribbon microphones were available with different transformers, including some near-field models with built in bass-cut to compensate for the ribbon proximity effect. The 'HF' suffix indicates 'High Fidelity', whereas 'HP' is 'High Pitched', i.e. with reduced bass response.

Bruno Velocity Microphones need no introduction, and this model, while it is most economical, has all the qualities of the Velocity microphone.

The VD is recommended when high fidelity at reasonable price is required.
